| A start-up laser diode manufacturer decided to expand into specific application use of its high-powered diode arrays. Without applications and integration expertise in-house, they required outside assistance. |

| The Photonics Group was contracted and sent several laser diode devices for evaluation in our labs. We used our broad-market applications experience to test and evaluate the best uses for the diodes in both component and system levels integration. |

Conclusion |

| The project schedule defined a 30-day timeline for evaluation and suggestion of use. An additional 30 day timeline was defined for summarization of the best three (3) applications or integrations of use- specifically, materials testing, product marking/coding, and medical illumination/PDT. The Photonics Group completed the project within 50 days, from review of diodes, to testing, documentation, and final summarization reporting. The Photonics Group completed this project at the budget allocated. |
